BIOGRAPHY
Born in New York City, I was raised on the south shore of Long Island in the 50’s and 60’s. After graduating from Berner High School I went to the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. The focus of my studies were architecture and photography. My connection to architecture and the building trades lead me to open a sign company where I was involved in the design and fabrication of signs for commercial buildings in Albuquerque, some of which are still standign today!
Upon graduatin from UNM in 1974 I moved back to New York where I started a graphic design and commercial printing business. I continued my education at the Printing School of New York with the study of color printing. The technology of print and graphic production fascinated me. It was here that I first was introduced to the power of color in communications and how it was used for commercial enterprise.
My exposure to New York was great for my personal and family growth. It was here that I met and married my wife, Susan. In 1978 I found myself seeking a different pace of life and left New York.
This was an exciting time of seeking and travel for Susan and myself. Our search lead us to Santa Fe, New Mexico where we have lived since our arrival in 1978. I contnued in the graphic arts with design and printing services and in 2000 sold my business and began investigating my creative side. I always enjoyed drawing and painting and went back to school to explore these.
Having the opportunity to seek out my own emotion through creative expression is a gift I do not take for granted. For the past several years I have applied myself to this endeavor.
